A seasoned graphic designer sought a home that reflected the philosophy behind her work — clarity, alignment, and considered whitespace. The result needed to feel personal yet universal, like a well-composed layout in three dimensions.

Challenge

  • The apartment was narrow, with structural walls limiting open-plan flexibility.
  • Natural light reached only one side of the space.
  • The client wanted a refined visual palette with no visual noise.

Solution

We framed views. Doorways and furniture were aligned like typographic grids, creating a rhythm in sightlines. A restrained palette of white oak, ivory, and matte black provided a visual stillness. Reflective surfaces were minimised in favour of muted, light-diffusing textures. The entire apartment became a quiet canvas, allowing the client's lifestyle and belongings to become the focal point.

"Serra has an extraordinary eye for detail and a rare ability to create calm through structure. Our home feels like a quiet reflection of who we are."
